  Eclectic Duane Street, New York

This completely renovated light-filled loft in New York City’s Tribeca offered its young owner the opportunity to expand his design sensibility. The neutral walls and numerous windows are a perfect backdrop for the mix of charming early American furniture and objects from the clients’ childhood home and the clean lines of an eclectic array of mid-century modern and Asian-influenced furniture. Splashes of red on library chairs and the home office bookcase, a geometric fabric on the library sofa and subtle striped living room rug add bold color and visual interest.      Architect: Sheilds and Associates      Photographer: Pieter Estersohn
